Small Steps Huge Successes

The month of May and June have been incredible for me.  I have been given massive opportunities, some that I can speak of and others that I can't just yet.

This post however, isn't about listing all the great things that have and are happening in my life as it doesn't really matter.  What I see as great and successes for me may be different for someone else.

What it is about is sharing the process of why these great things are happening.  People often think I'm lucky but the truth is luck has very little to do with it.

The keys to my success come down to 3 things:

1) Great people
2) Taking risks
3) Hard work

1) I've always enjoyed learning no matter what it was.  I don't ever feel you can know enough or be good enough at anything, there is always room for improvement.  The only way to improve however is by learning from others.  People who are where you want to be or are on their way.

2) I've never been scared of taking risks, however risks even so need to be smart risks.  For example when I changed careers I first went to part time teaching for a couple of years while I ensured my personal training business was solid and the time was right to leave the teaching.  The reason being if I simply left teaching, especially during a recession, the financial stress and burden would have been too great to fully enjoy and grow in my new career.

3) Hard work.  Thanks to my mother I've never been shy of hard work.  There are days where I get up and I question why I'm doing what I'm doing but I simply keep going. One example of this is my www.rocofit.com website.  There are times I wonder why I keep writing and giving free information away but then I receive an email from someone saying how much they love it.  I have also had great writing opportunities and amazing clients come to me because they liked the site.

There are no secrets to success.  There is simply choices, hard work and trust in that what you are doing will take you to where you want to be.  The small daily steps we take don't always seem to be going somewhere but over time they can produce huge successes.

I'm forever grateful for my past, present and future successes and know I wouldn't have gotten there without hard work, consistency, taking risks and most importantly the help and influence of others.

Go out there and achieve whatever it is you want, simply because you can...if you really want it!
